PART TIME CARERS AT THE HEIGHTS

At present, the work available is part-time. Hours and shifts are negotiable.

Duties
- Helping/planning enriching conversation and activities for residents throughout the day 

- Assisting residents with their daily needs of cleanliness, comfort, surroundings, communication, rest, and nourishment (a cook prepares three homemade meals a day)

- Supporting a spiritually-minded, loving, and homelike atmosphere for all in the house.

 

Hours
Our current shift structure includes two shifts, 7 days a week:
- Day Shift from 10pm-6pm
- Overnight Shift, which is split into two blocks 6pm-10pm (a well-remunerated 8 hour on-call sleepover allowance) and 6:15am-10:15am

 

We may be able to customise your hours if this shift structure doesn’t work for you.

Qualifications and Qualities
– A sincere student of Christian Science with Mother Church and/or branch church membership (for those still in Sunday School, regular attendance may be sufficient)

– While some experience with care giving is desirable, we are mostly interested in the expression of qualities such as patience, love, alertness, wisdom, gentleness and kindness.
– Fluent in speaking, writing and understanding English

Remuneration
– We currently pay our care staff in line with the Aged Care Award
